Everyone needs a brand values filter – even college students!

Last week I had the opportunity to speak to a very large group of college students about integrity and Brand. We talked about how important it is to know who you are and to operate with a set of values that you use for every single decision. The idea is when things get tough, and the decision becomes harder, your values help remind you of who you are and to do the right thing even when it’s the hard thing. The students were so excited to talk about how to build personal brand as well as how to share it on social media especially LinkedIn. There were so many questions about how to actually use LinkedIn but more than that, how to share stories, why it is important to engage with others and not just post, how to use hashtags, and so much more. Helping the younger generation to be successful and to start building their personal brand now versus later is some thing I love doing.
