WHY EXECUTIVES AT ALL LEVELS HIRE COACHES
“Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.” – @coachwooden
DO YOUR BEST TO BECOME YOUR BEST. John Wooden – one of the all-time GOATS shared a great quote. Are you doing your best to BE your best?
We are often asked; why coaching? Why do people need coaches? The greatest athletes in the world have coaches, and the executives the top of their game most likely have, or have had, a coach helping them to see what they don’t see. When you are growing in your career, you often don’t really know what other people think.
I’m not talking about opinion or the naysayers who are jealous or have a different plan for your life – I’m talking about people around you that you think believe one thing about you yet don’t. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been told by a client that people consider them either full of integrity, a good leader, kind, smart or even funny – and in a 360, we discover it isn’t true.
Sometimes, we have made mistakes but haven’t taken the time to come back from the brand hit we took. The world we live in today, especially with social media, is REALLY exposing. It shows who you want to be – but, when you make a mistake, it is important that you have a solid brand to catch you when you fall.
A coach can see things you don’t see – coaches typically know their gifting – they SHOULDN’T go into other lanes unless they really know what they are doing. When I coach, I can almost immediately see what someone is doing wrong, why they aren’t being heard or even seen, why opportunity is missing them and what they could immediately do to share and be intentional about a new narrative. The gift of building value, seeing gifts and establishing brand is what I do – nothing more, nothing less. You have a gift that NOBODY else has. A God given gift – do you know what it is? Have you built it up? Have you shared it through stories?
If not, a coach can help…
