When You Talk – Should People Listen? (Part Two)

This is a continuation of the SHOULD people listen to you post!

How do you build brand so that people listen when you speak.

1. Build brand.
-Share stories
-Post on social media (@linkedin specifically)

2. Strengthen emotional intelligence.
-Don’t yell on social and expect anyone to follow you

3. Do a brand audit for social
-What do people see about you? What do your posts say about you as a whole? What is missing from your story?

Leaders share who they are, get to know who they lead, and share accordingly. If nobody is listening that means you typically haven’t built brand equity. If Warren Buffet walked into an auditorium of executives, would they listen? Most likely – even if they don’t like him. Now, how about if you walked into an auditorium of your peers – would they listen? WHY NOT? No equity…

This is why people are missed for opportunities they deserve – nobody knows WHY they should hire them.
