Yes, I have seen Social Dilemma…all the more reason for you to control your narrative versus allowing others to think one thing or another. Company leaders – if you don’t believe in sharing stories on LinkedIn, You Are Wrong. Take off your blinders. If you care about the success of your company, the safety of your employees and their livelihood, now is the time to adapt. When you fight social media and the benefit, you look outdated, arrogant, ill-advised, and stuck in the past.
LOOK at the C-Suite leaders, LOOK at the companies, and get up to speed. Your people depend on you to read, learn, and get with the program of building value. You want to recruit awesome people? Share your stories. You want to connect with people at each location you have? CONNECT and ENGAGE and ENCOURAGE on social. No, it’s not in person, but this is the world we are in. Keep driving your horse and buggy…while jets are flying above you.
Don’t believe me? Do the research on your own. @linkedin in particular is a critical, vital way to success. Unless you think people can still read smoke signals or read cave paintings, I’d suggest learning about and encourage the use of LinkedIn to build your brand and the company you claim to care so much about.
