November 2007 Newsletter

As the holiday season approaches, we tend to forget about taking care of ourselves. Even in the middle of all of the chaos this season, you can really take advantage of the endless opportunities to look fabulous during the holidays; whether it be a family party, a work related social event, or simply while you are shopping. I find that when you look and feel great…you always accomplish more, are less stressed out, and overall are much happier!
You owe it to yourself to take a moment for YOU. Sneak away for 45 minutes to get a pedicure (I recommend Signature Nails if you live in the Nashville area), a massage, or an hour to update your wardrobe for the fall/winter season! This is not something that will take days to accomplish and it will not break your bank account. Everyone can afford great fall/winter fashion since all of the trends are available in every price category these days.  In my newsletter this month, I am going to show you a couple wardrobe updates that will keep you in with the current style, and are affordable.
Please call or e-mail me if I can help you with your holiday, work or seasonal wardrobe. If you take nothing else from this newsletter, remember this…”Fashion” isn’t about how much you spend on an item…it is how you put together each outfit that matters.
Give yourself the gift of looking beautiful this season…YOU DESERVE IT!
Happy Shopping!
Mila
Don’t be afraid to accessorize!
As the temperature drops, it is the perfect time to update your warm winter accessories with color. Many of us are afraid of using color, but a little punch here and there can brighten your mood and your outfit. Here are a few options that may bring some added cheer to you this season.
Flats
Flats are an answer to our prayers!  The trend of wearing ballet flats has carried over from last season, and there’s no sign that it’s abating. Whether you are dressing up for a date or dressing down for brunch with your friends, these sweet styles don’t just provide relief from painful high heels, they look great too. Look for a variety of colors, embellishments, toe shapes and patterns to instantly boost the basics in your closet.  Metallics are very popular this season, and flats are a great way to wear this trend without overdoing it.

Boots

You may be overwhelmed with the various styles of boots this season…Tall, short, heeled, flat, suede, patent leather, zippers, buckles, pointy toe, round toe!  At the end of the day, buy what works for you and your needs.  Do not be afraid of texture!  You can wear all of the boots below with skirts, dresses, over a pair of fitted jeans, and under a pair of boot cut or straight leg jeans.

All of the boots above can be found at www.Nordstrom.com.

I don’t normally do this, but here a few styles below that I would suggest you don’t buy.  The style of these boots can make your foot look larger than it is, and the heels are not feminine.  Boots are not only something we wear to keep our feet warm and cozy in bad weather anymore…They are stylish, fun and can make or break an outfit!  They can be warm, comfortable, feminine, sexy and utilitarian at the same time.

Wrap me up!

Accessorizing with one of these scarves is a fashion must do…They are luxurious, and with so many colors, textures and ways to wear them, you’ll never want to come inside.  Pair the metallic scarf with a simple outfit and let it do the talking for you!  It can dress up a simple outfit, and make a cold day something you look forward to.  The holiday themed scarf is something I threw in for the ladies who like to dress up in the spirit of the season with Christmas sweaters, reindeers and ornaments…I would suggest a simple yet spirited scarf to replace the jingle bell earrings this season!

Gloves are the perfect way to add a touch of elegance and beauty to any outfit.  If you are still afraid of color, this is the perfect way to explore the possibilities.

BAGS, BAGS AND MORE BAGS!!!
In my opinion, this is the most important accessory you will buy!  It is a part of your DAILY wardrobe!  It represents a bit of who you are, and how people perceive you is a powerful tool if done right!  The options are endless this season…Patent leather, the new trend of the day to night clutch, textures such as suede, satchels in every color and so much more.  If you need to have a larger bag for your everyday needs, there are stylish options for you this season!  You really can’t go wrong when picking out a bag; unless you choose ‘boring.’  Why be boring when you are fabulous!
Holiday party updates!
A new sparkly top is a simple yet inexpensive way to update your wardrobe for holiday soirées.  An elegant, sexy top can be worn with a pair of black pants you already have in your closet, but it will make you look and feel like a brand new woman!  Sequined and jeweled tops are everywhere this season, and with very little money you will feel like the “Belle of the Ball.”
If you want an even simpler way to update your holiday wardrobe, buy a pair of heels that are adorned with jewels or are in a festive color!  Even if you were to wear black pants with a black turtle neck…paired with the red heels below, you will be the fashionista of the party.
