MODA Newsletter: Is your heart in the right place?

I love this time of year when the leaves change colors, basketball starts, football Friday nights and of course, THE FOOD.  The month of thanks is upon us and America has so much to be thankful for. I can share hundreds of stories about my European heritage my grandfather was a freedom fighter in Serbia, or of family that was held in concentration camps, or even how my family could speak very little English but built a future in America starting with tens of thousands of chickens in San Diego. I am so thankful for this country and all of the opportunity it has provided for my family.  Today, I am in a beautiful state, living in a fairytale neighborhood, surrounded by friends and family, and I have the privilege of calling Tennessee my home. It is so easy to focus on the THANKS part of the holiday and forget the GIVING part. I hope that everyone takes some time, looks around them and says thank you by giving back to others.

We have all been blessed in areas we cannot even begin to understand and grace has reached into all of our lives in one way or another. So this Thanksgiving, take some time to put on your best outfit and your richest smile in order to share some of your blessing with someone else. Share the thanks of Thanksgiving by giving some of the joy to those who are around you.  I hope you enjoy this magical holiday season. Thank you for your support and friendship.
