Meeting Your Heroes…
Heroes.
This can be tricky. Have you ever met a hero of yours in person and the ‘hero’ part was ruined because you saw how they really lived. At the end of the day, you want to live your life, not somebody else’s for so many reasons – the main one being, you may be mirroring your life to someone who isn’t showing you everything. As you live your own life, remember someone may look to you as a hero – what do you truly believe? What is really in your heart? Who are you? Why do you do what you do?
Who is it that you admire? Whose life would you like your life to be like? Be careful of illusion v. reality. I have worked with and know SO many successful people – business executives who are at the pinnacle of their careers – via title and financial.
Pastor @mikeglennonline asks: What are the characteristics you see in your heroes that you would want in your life? Make a list. Start putting them in your life today.
Characteristics are we call brand values: People with integrity, commitment, faith etc…Look for the right heroes to emulate. Not the ones who you ‘think’ are successful. Remember Mother Teresa didn’t have a Bentley and a mansion in Bel Air – she had SO much more.
