Leaders – do you care about your employees? REALLY?
Then you should care about social.
If COVID taught us anything – it’s that we need to connect and find ways to do it when it just can’t be in person.
@linkedin – if you’re an executive, this is HOW. See @hal_lawton – CEO of @tractorsupply . He gets it. First day on the job, did a great video and since then he continues to engage with employees, peers, community etc…It would be impossible for him to ‘touch’ all employees all the time.
As a company leader – you need to get on board. Sharing value, storytelling, engaging, giving back to your community, recruiting the right people, sharing core values (See Hal Lawton – does this all the time), and solidifying brand strength is done online as well in person.
Think about it this way…one like or comment is a moment of engagement – how do you think it makes your employee feel that you would take the time to do this and care? The idea that you SEE them, appreciate them and care about what they are doing is priceless.
